Company Overview Our client is a leading specialty contractor and service provider focused on complex, project-based design, installation, and maintenance services across North America. Backed by private equity ownership, the company is actively scaling through both organic growth and acquisitions. The business operates in a multi-entity environment and is investing heavily in financial discipline, systems infrastructure, and operational rigor to support continued expansion. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring hands-on leadership and strong commercial acumen. Position Overview The Regional Finance Director will serve as the primary finance business partner to a Regional Vice President, with full accountability for financial performance across a growing region expected to scale meaningfully through M&A and organic expansion. This individual will operate as the senior finance leader for the region within a project-driven environment, owning forecasting, WIP oversight, margin performance, and executive reporting. The role carries significant visibility with senior leadership and meaningful involvement in acquisition diligence and integration. Key Responsibilities Finance Leadership & Business Partnership Serve as financial owner of the region, supporting revenue forecasting, margin discipline, and cost control. Partner closely with operations leaders to proactively identify risks and opportunities. Provide commercial insight to enable disciplined growth. Work-in-Progress & Job Costing Lead WIP reviews and percentage-of-completion accounting. Oversee EAC, contract value assessments, and true cost-to-cost revenue recognition. Use underbilling and job-level data as leading indicators of performance. Reporting & Executive Communication Prepare Management Operating Review materials for executive leadership. Deliver concise variance analysis connecting financial results to operational drivers. Leverage NetSuite and Power BI reporting frameworks. M&A Support & Integration Support financial diligence and working capital analysis. Assist in post-acquisition integration to ensure financial consistency and control. Team Leadership Build and lead a regional finance team. Establish scalable processes to support increasing regional complexity. Qualifications 10+ years progressive finance experience in project-based environments. Strong WIP, job costing, and forecasting experience required. Exposure to M&A in growth-oriented organizations. Experience in construction, specialty contracting, or field-driven services preferred. Strong systems aptitude (NetSuite and Power BI preferred).
