Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization. We are in search of an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in overseeing day to day accounting operations for a growing, private equity-backed manufacturing company supporting the pharmaceutical industry. This role partners closely with the Controller and Finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes in a fast paced environment.
Assistant Controller Location:
Ewing, NJ (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Compensation:
$100,000-$120,000 base salary
Industry:
Manufacturing (supporting pharmaceutical customers) Private Equity-backed Key Responsibilities Support the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support external audits, PE reporting requirements, and lender reporting Strengthen internal controls and support process improvements and automation Partner cross functionally with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams Assist with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis Help mentor and review work of junior accounting staff as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA or CPA?track strongly preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Manufacturing environment experience required (pharma or regulated industry strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of GAAP and month end close Experience in private equity-backed companies a plus Hands on ERP experience; strong Excel skills required Ability to thrive in a fast paced, growth oriented environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
