Job Description

Assistant Controller We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the Finance Team in overseeing the company's accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in accounting who is eager to grow into a broader leadership position over time. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position offers a clear path for professional growth and increased responsibility, including opportunities to take on leadership duties and expand scope within the finance function. The role may also serve as a team lead for select accounting functions, providing guidance and oversight to junior staff where appropriate. Key Responsibilities Lead or oversee commission calculation processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with company policies Support the Financial Controller in managing daily accounting operations and financial activities Oversee and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies Review and process invoices, payments, and expense reports with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account analysis Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors as needed Help maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and take initiative in expanding responsibilities over time Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate environment Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with commission calculations or incentive compensation structures preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems/ERP software Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information Demonstrated initiative and a strong desire to grow into a leadership role
Pay:
$75,000.00 per year
