Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Controller to lead corporate accounting and financial operations for a mid-size manufacturing organization. The Controller will manage month-end close, prepare accurate financial and sales reporting, oversee costing and inventory accounting, perform cash reconciliation and ICO accruals, and maintain fixed assets and corporate accounting processes. This role will supervise the accounting team, work closely with operations and sales, and serve as the primary Business Central ERP finance lead to ensure timely, compliant, and actionable financial information that supports strategic decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes and deliver timely GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports.

Prepare, review, and present financial reporting and sales reporting packages for executives and stakeholders.

Oversee cash management and perform regular cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and proper bank account controls.

Manage ICO accrual processes and other accruals to ensure obligations are recorded and reconciled monthly.

Own inventory accounting, periodic counts, and inventory reconciliation; drive accurate product costing and cost accounting methodologies.

Develop and maintain standard costing, variance analysis, and product-level profitability reporting to support manufacturing decisions.

Administer and improve fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and asset reconciliations.

Serve as the primary Business Central ERP finance lead maintain chart of accounts, support system configuration, reporting, and any ERP-related projects or integrations.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including the Accounting Manager, and coordinate cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, and tax.

Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting; partner with tax advisors and auditors to provide required schedules and documentation.

Implement and enhance internal controls, policies, and process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis to support strategic planning and cash flow management.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.

Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, sales reporting, cash reconciliation, ICO accruals, inventory accounting, costing and cost accounting, and fixed assets.

Hands-on experience with Business Central ERP (or similar ERP systems).Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams and to work closely with an Accounting Manager and cross-functional partners.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, audit and tax compliance requirements, and experience coordinating external audits and tax filings.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools and ERP reporting modules.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and scalable accounting operations.

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and deliver accurate, deadline-driven results.
