The Controller will partner directly with executive leadership to support financial strategy, strengthen internal controls, and ensure accurate reporting across multiple funding streams. Key Responsibilities of the Controller Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets, as the Controller Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting while maintaining compliance with GAAP as the Controller Develop, implement, and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the Controller Lead audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory partners as the Controller Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, procurement‑related accounting, and team development as the Controller Qualifications for the Controller Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; experience in nonprofit, government, or multi‑entity environments preferred Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills; a CPA or advanced degree is a plus Work Environment for the Controller Mission‑driven, collaborative organization with strong community impact Direct exposure to executive leadership and decision‑making Hybrid flexibility based on business needs EB-1885358993Similar remote jobs
