  • 200K Base + 25% Bonus | Hybrid (North Miami) A growing alternative investment firm with approximately $4B in AUM is seeking an experienced Controller to join its expanding finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside new executive leadership during a period of transformation, helping build and modernize the firm's accounting and finance function within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. The firm invests primarily in private equity , with a strong focus on technology and software companies, while also managing credit strategies across multiple investment vehicles. With a lean finance team, this role offers broad exposure and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the organization continues to evolve.
Responsibilities:
Oversee fund and management company accounting across multiple investment vehicles and related entities Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including financial reporting and reconciliations Support fund operations, capital activity, investor reporting, and financial statement preparation Partner closely with senior leadership to enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies Coordinate with external auditors, administrators, and tax advisors Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as the finance organization continues to grow and evolve
Qualifications:
7-15+ years of accounting experience within alternative investments Strong fund accounting background required; private equity experience preferred, with credit or hedge fund experience also considered Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred Experience supporting multiple funds and related legal entities Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills
