Job Description

Controller Location:
Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
Compensation:
$150K+ base, 15% performance bonus About the Company We are a fast-growing, PE-backed company and our focus is on maintaining financial discipline, supporting thoughtful growth, and continuously improving operations. We are seeking a hands-on Controller to take full ownership of a well-functioning finance operation. This role is designed for a finance professional who thrives on execution and accountability. You will partner directly with the CEO to ensure continuity, accuracy, and reliability in all financial operations while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and decision support. What You'll Do Own the month-end close end-to-end Deliver accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and reporting packages for leadership and lenders Maintain general ledger integrity, chart of accounts, accruals, and reconciliations Oversee AP, AR, payroll coordination, and cash controls Ensure consistent handling of revenue recognition, deferred revenue/WIP, and accruals Coordinate with external accounting, tax, and audit providers Keep the finance function always audit-ready Own and maintain annual budget, rolling forecast, and 13-week cash flow forecast Provide visibility into cash position, margins, cost drivers, and services/recurring revenue economics Partner with the CEO on pricing, contract economics, headcount decisions, and scenario modeling Requirements 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Prior experience as Controller, Senior Controller, or Director of Finance Background in technology services, managed services, or tech-enabled services Strong Excel and financial analysis skills, NetSuite preferred CPA preferred but not required #
