Job Description
Drive strategic financial decision-making and shape the future of a growing, vertically integrated business. This is a high-impact leadership role blending hands-on execution with enterprise-level strategy. What You Will Do As the Director of FP&A, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team while leading the company's financial planning and analysis function. You will own forecasting, budgeting, modeling, and performance analysis, translating business strategy into financial outcomes, rigorously pressure-testing assumptions, and delivering clear, actionable insights to inform decision-making. You will drive disciplined, profitable growth, ensuring financial clarity and rigor across a complex, vertically integrated CPG, manufacturing, and eCommerce organization.
Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team on financial strategy and business performance Own the end-to-end FP&A function, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling Lead enterprise-level scenario planning and long-range financial modeling Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning, including 13-week cash flow models Partner cross-functionally to evaluate growth opportunities, risks, and operational performance Provide financial oversight of cost structure, manufacturing performance, and margin optimization Guide pricing, trade spend, and profitability analysis across CPG and eCommerce channels Support M&A, capital allocation, and strategic investment decisions Lead and develop the FP&A team while remaining hands-on in key analyses Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to leadership and board stakeholders Who You Are You are a high-impact finance leader who thrives in both strategic and hands-on environments, bringing strong FP&A fundamentals and a proactive mindset to every challenge. You translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions while challenging assumptions, building structure, and elevating financial rigor across the organization. Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup has equipped you to remain deeply engaged in the details even as you operate at a high level. This is a hands-on leadership role at the center of the business, requiring someone who can move seamlessly between high-level strategy and detailed execution.Qualifications:
12+ years of progressive finance experience Experience across both CPG and manufacturing environments (required) Experience supporting eCommerce, Amazon, or DTC channels (required) Strong background in FP&A, strategic finance, and operational finance Proven ability to operate both tactically and strategically Hands-on expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling Experience with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management Previous experience working in a startup environment is a plus Exposure to cost accounting and manufacturing finance Experience with M&A, investment analysis, or capital planning (preferred) This is a hybrid position, and candidates must be willing to be in our Vista office several days a week Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with 3% company match Hybrid in the SoCal or Bay Area 3 weeks ofPTO + 10
