We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to serve as Executive Director of Finance — the primary day-to-day financial leader of HLC, reporting to the CFO. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role with meaningful scope across financial operations, governance, banking, and revenue cycle management.You will own:
▪ Month-end close, financial statements, variance analysis, and KPI reporting ▪ Annual audit and 990 — primary external auditor relationship ▪ Annual budget process — building the model in close collaboration with CFO ▪ Board Finance, Audit, and Investment Committee package preparation ▪ Banking relationships, covenant compliance, and capital project oversight ▪ Revenue cycle management — team leadership, TPB accountability, patient billing, and RCM system implementation ▪ Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting team developmentWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
▪ 7-10+ years of progressive financial leadership — nonprofit, behavioral health, or healthcare preferred ▪ Proven ability to own financial reporting and month-end close independently ▪ Audit management experience — primary point of contact with external auditors ▪ Healthcare revenue cycle management experience preferred — out-of-network billing, patient financial responsibility, TPB oversight. Strong adjacent healthcare finance candidates also considered. ▪ Fluent in the tools of modern finance — Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online, CRM and RCM systems — with an appetite for using AI to drive efficiency and precision. ▪ Bachelor's required; CPA or Master's strongly preferred ▪ Genuine Christian faith and alignment with HLC's mission of whole-person healingROLE DETAILS & WHAT WE OFFER
▪Pay:
$120,000- 150,000, commensurate with experience.
Location:
Remote with regular on-site presence, or On-site, based in Greenville, FL (~40-50 min from Tallahassee, FL or Valdosta, GA).
