Food & Beverage Manufacturing - About the Role Our client, a global leader in the consumer packaged goods industry with a strong presence in food manufacturing and distribution, is seeking a Finance Site Lead to support plant operations and drive business performance. This cross-functional role partners closely with plant leadership to deliver financial insights, strengthen controls, and support strategic decision-making. The organization operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality products to consumers worldwide. The Finance Site Lead plays a critical role in aligning financial performance with plant goals, fostering a strong fiduciary environment, and providing actionable analysis to improve operations. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with plant leadership, influence site strategy, and contribute to key initiatives that drive growth and efficiency. Job Description The Finance Site Lead is responsible for overseeing financial operations at the plant level, including cost accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. This role partners with cross-functional teams to provide insights that support plant performance, productivity initiatives, and long-term strategic planning. Lead plant financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and develop actionable plans to meet or exceed plant targets Partner with plant operations and leadership to support site strategy, continuous improvement efforts, and capital investment decisions Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to drive data-based decision-making and operational efficiency Support delivery of productivity and cost-saving initiatives aligned with plant objectives Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard assets Ensure audit readiness through regular reviews, self-audits, and adherence to internal control standards Serve as a key financial advisor and contributor on the Plant Leadership Team Collaborate with corporate and cross-functional teams on key initiatives and process improvements Deliver value-added insights and reporting to enhance business performance and operational outcomes
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field 3+ years of finance or accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting processes Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage or similar platforms) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate across all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience Experience in plant or site-level finance within a manufacturing environment Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems in a manufacturing setting Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Confident communicator with the ability to influence and provide recommendations to leadership Experience working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including coaching, influencing, and driving change initiatives Benefits Dahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family's needs.
