Job Description

Financial Controller - Job Description Position Summary The Financial Controller manages all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, compliance with regulations, and provides insights to support business performance. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & Accounting Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with GAAP (or IFRS if applicable) Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets Maintain accurate and timely financial records 2. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to leadership Support strategic planning with financial modeling 3. Internal Controls & Compliance Develop and maintain strong internal controls Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements Coordinate audits with external auditors Implement policies to safeguard company assets 4. Cash Flow & Financial Management Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital Optimize financial performance and cost controls Oversee banking relationships and financing arrangements 5. Team Leadership Manage and develop accounting staff Improve processes and systems for efficiency and scalability Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and executive team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations Experience with accounting software/ERP systems Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills Preferred Experience Experience in a mid-sized or growth-stage company Background in your industry (e.g., construction, manufacturing, HVAC, etc.) Experience managing audits and lender relationships
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
