This role is ideal for an experienced accounting and finance professional with 8+ years of progressive experience who is looking to lead corporate accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements across the organization. Only candidates located in Georgia will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Lead preparation and review of financial statements, consolidations, and management reporting packages in accordance with GAAP Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and cash management activities Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures Analyze financial results, trends, and variances while providing strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership Coordinate and lead external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company financial policies and procedures Partner cross-functionally with operational and executive leadership teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives Lead and support ERP implementations, system upgrades, and accounting process improvement initiatives Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment Assist with cash flow management, treasury activities, and financial risk assessment Support executive leadership with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA designation strongly preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks Experience managing corporate accounting functions in a multi-entity or complex organizational environment preferred Prior experience overseeing audits, consolidations, and month-end close processes required Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage teams effectively Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Technical Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis Strong ERP/accounting systems experience required Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights Ability to manipulate large data sets, run financial reports, and improve reporting efficiencies Opportunity Highlights:
