Job Description:

Construction Controller (Remote) Position Overview The Construction Controller manages the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department for specialized construction entities. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring that all financial statements conform to GAAP and regulatory requirements. This position acts as a vital link between subsidiary management and corporate finance, overseeing complex project accounting and mentoring a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly financial statements for consolidation and generate required internal reports.

Project Accounting Oversight:

Review Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports, project-to-general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee project setups, including work breakdown structures and revenue formulas.

Internal Controls:

Develop and monitor effective internal controls. Establish or modify policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity and operational safety.

Systems Administration:

Coordinate account setup and mapping within the Deltek Costpoint system. Perform training on systems, processes, and accounting principles for the team.

Audit & Compliance:

Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring all reporting requirements for external sources are met accurately and on time.

Leadership & Mentoring:
