Position Overview. St. Mary Academy
- Bay View seeks a strategic, mission-driven Vice President of Finance & Operations, a senior leadership role that serves as the schools chief financial and operating officer and a key partner to the President.
This role leads the schools financial strategy and oversees key operational areas including finance, human resources, facilities, and technology. The Vice President will work closely with the President, senior leadership team, and Board of Trustees to align resources with institutional priorities, strengthen systems, support enrollment growth, and ensure Bay Views long-term financial sustainability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Lead all Business Office functions including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and financial aidDevelop and implement long-range financial strategies aligned with institutional prioritiesOversee human resources, facilities, technology, vendor relationships, contracts, and risk managementPartner with senior leadership to support enrollment growth, program planning, and operational effectivenessLead the annual audit process and manage relationships with auditors and financial institutionsMonitor financial performance and provide clear, data-informed insights for decision-makingServe as liaison to Board committees and support effective governance processesIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will: Have strong financial expertise, with a CPA and/or masters degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferredBring at least five years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in schools or nonprofitsDemonstrate the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insightsBalance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership across multiple functional areasBuild relationships rooted in trust, transparency, collaboration, and sound judgmentModel integrity, creativity, and a mission-aligned commitment to Bay Views long-term vitality
