Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Bluffton, South Carolina. This role focuses on overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving strategic financial planning within a dynamic real estate development environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with expertise in multi-entity consolidation and intercompany transactions.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to guide financial planning and decision-making.
  • Review and implement internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial operations and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Monitor treasury functions, including banking activities, cash flow management, and insurance oversight.
  • Support capital projects, acquisitions, and land development initiatives with detailed financial analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations for real estate investments and development projects.
  • Supervise intercompany transactions and eliminations, ensuring streamlined processes and accurate reconciliations.
  • Prepare and present consolidated financial statements that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead efforts to optimize property management accounting processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
