Job Description
Role Overview The Director of Finance at Sharpvue is a strategic and operational leader responsible for building, scaling, and driving the financial engine of the business. This role goes beyond traditional accounting, it owns financial visibility, capital strategy, and operational performance across manufacturing, field operations, and recurring revenue streams. You will partner directly with executive leadership to translate financial data into decisions that drive growth, efficiency, and profitability. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate at both a high strategic level and deep in the numbers. Financial Leadership & Strategy Partner with executive leadership to shape and execute company wide financial strategy Deliver actionable insights that drive profitability, pricing, and operational decisions Build financial frameworks that support scaling production, deployments, and service operations Support strategic initiatives including new product lines, market expansion, and capital investments Financial Reporting & Visibility Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with accuracy, speed, and clarity Deliver executive level reporting that ties financial performance to operational KPIs Build dashboards and reporting that provide real-time visibility into business health Lead variance analysis and identify root causes, not just report numbers Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning Lead company wide budgeting and rolling forecast processes Build and maintain dynamic financial models Drive accountability across departments for budget adherence and performance Cash Flow & Capital Management Own cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity planning Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and capital allocation Support financing strategies tied to: Equipment production Inventory management Customer deployments Evaluate ROI on capital expenditures and large scale initiatives Operational Finance Partner with Operations and Manufacturing to: Analyze cost per unit (materials, labor, logistics) Improve margins through process efficiency Identify waste and cost reduction opportunities Build financial linkage between: Assembly shop performance Field deployment costs Service and support operations Systems, Process & Controls Establish scalable financial systems, processes, and internal controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements Improve financial workflows across tools such as: ERP / other accounting & reporting systems Lead audit processes and ensure clean, reliable financial data Team Leadership & Accountability Lead and develop the finance and accounting team Establish a high performance culture focused on ownership, accuracy, and speed Implement clear KPIs and reporting rhythms for the finance function Serve as a cross-functional leader working closely with: Operations, Sales, Engineering & Executive Leadership What We're Looking ForExperience 5-8+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles Strong background in manufacturing, cost accounting, or hardware based businesses Experience supporting multi entity or high growth environments Proven ability to connect financial data to operational performance Technical & Analytical Strength Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities Strong understanding of: Cost accounting Cash flow management Capital planning Experience with ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools Advanced Excel / financial analysis skills Leadership & Mindset Operator mindset is not just reporting, but driving outcomes Comfortable in a fast paced, evolving environment with ambiguity and growth Strong communicator with the ability to influence executive decisions High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required What Success Looks Like Financial reporting is clean, timely, and actionable Leadership has real time visibility into business performance Budgeting and forecasting are accurate and actively used Clear understanding of true cost per unit and margin drivers Cash flow is predictable and well-managed Finance becomes a driver of decisions, not just a reporting function Why This Role Matters at Sharpvue Sharpvue is scaling rapidly across manufacturing, technology, and field operations.
