Job Description

Job description: Join our organization as a Finance Director, where you will lead financial operations, driving strategic growth and ensuring fiscal integrity. This role offers oversees complex governmental accounting functions, and fosters a culture of financial excellence. As a key member of the leadership team, you will champion compliance, optimize financial performance, and support sustainable development initiatives. Grant writing experience helpful. A minimum of an Associates Degree in Finance (Bachelor's Degree preferred) or related field and two years accounting background preferred. Experience preferred. Must Possesses comprehensive knowledge of governmental accounting principles (GASB), including fund accounting, modified accrual accounting, and budgetary control techniques. Experienced in preparing financial reports, managing financial administration, and facilitating internal audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations." Under director supervision of the Administrative Services Director.
Performs the following duties:
1. Maintain agency accounting in acceptable and proper condition to allow audit trails. Ensures agency complies with all reporting requirements and procurement requirements 2. Maintain payroll records, prepares all tax deposits and quarterly reports. At year end, prepares and distributes all employees W-2's and submits necessary wage reports to the government in a timely manner. Insures agency billing for services is monitored and submitted. 3. Prepares monthly financial reports timely. 4. Pays bills timely. 5. Prepares board financial statements 6. Notifies Executive Director of financial matters requiring special attention. 7. Works closely with Executive Director in preparation of budgets 8. Prepares all bank deposits. Ensures bank statements reconciled independently 9. Maintain , updates all insurances, workers comp., property liability, etc. 10. Represents agency well to vendors and funders 11. Other related duties as required
