Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide leadership in budgeting and reporting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment while driving financial excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, auditing, and month-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial reports using tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational goals and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and oversight to the accounting team to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address financial concerns and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in implementing and optimizing accounting software systems to improve workflow.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the financial processes. Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports.
- Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable, auditing, and month-end close.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead teams effectively.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
