We have tremendous opportunities for driven leaders looking for a high-energy career. The State Group is seeking a Group Finance Director. This position is located at our office in Franklin, TN. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role partners closely with senior leadership to support financial strategy, internal consolidation, and company-level reporting. The Group Finance Director oversees core financial reporting processes, finance data management, and corporate finance system initiatives, while coordinating closely with regional finance leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial results. This position requires a strong leader and communicator who can work effectively across functions and build disciplined, scalable financial processes in a growing organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead internal financial consolidation and divisional reporting, including full three-statement financials and management reporting.
  • Oversee company-level accounting activities, including intercompany, fixed assets, and leases.
  • Own company-level tax coordination, audit support, and ongoing compliance requirements across operating entities.
  • Oversee company-level treasury activities, including cash forecasting, working capital management, and coordination of intercompany funding.
  • Support acquisition accounting and integration, including purchase accounting, working capital reporting, and onboarding of acquired entities into company accounting and reporting structures.
  • Provide financial analysis and planning support to executive leadership and key internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with regional finance leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial information and adherence to company policies.
  • Lead internal controls development and finance system implementations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
  • 10+ years of experience in finance as a controller with a proven track record of effective supervision and development of others.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial reporting software.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work varied and additional hours during closing and budgeting periods.
  • CPA, CFA, or CMA preferred but not required.
