Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a high-caliber Controller to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will exhibit functional ownership while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This role requires top-tier analytical skills and the ability to solve complex business problems across multiple departments. You will provide strategic direction for accounting, tax, and cash management while also overseeing IT and Sales/Service Support functions. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Reporting Provide overall direction for accounting, controlling (cost accounting), tax, budget, and cash management. Apply expert knowledge of
GAAP/IFRS
to solve non-routine business issues. Convey critical financial results, cash requirements, and analytical insights to company leadership. Prepare semi-annual budgets and forecasts. Accounting Operations & Compliance Oversee all aspects of general accounting, AP, AR, fixed assets, and GL analyses. Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Support the preparation of tax returns and annual financial audits/reviews, serving as the primary point of contact for consultants. Act as the Local Compliance Officer for the US entity, monitoring US-specific issues and participating in Group-directed activities. Prepare government reporting and monitor internal controls. Operational Oversight Manage cash functions, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting. Oversee inventory accuracy and audit processes (cycle counting/stocktaking). Administer payroll and the 401(k) retirement plan. Manage Sales and Service Support, with active involvement in export compliance. IT & Team Management Provide administrative management for the IT department, including budgeting, personnel development, and effectiveness assessments in coordination with Group IT. Mentor and support direct reports, including the Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, IT personnel, and Sales Support Supervisor. Develop cross-functional partnerships across all departments.
Education & Experience Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
Licensure:
Must be an active CPA with maintained licensure.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of general accounting experience. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with direct supervisory responsibility. Minimum of 5 years working with ERP systems; experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Skills Advanced proficiency in Excel. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a "top-level" attention to detail. Ability to lead effectively outside of traditional accounting functions (IT, Sales Support). Why Join Us?

Position Type:
Full-time Traditional Monday-Friday schedule. ONSITE located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Occasional overnight travel may be required including internationally. Total required travel is less than 10%.
