Ambulatory Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, and Healthcare Services Position Summary The Vice President of Finance is a strategic and operational finance leader responsible for overseeing all financial activities of a rapidly growing ambulatory infusion and specialty pharmacy organization. This executive will provide financial leadership, business insight, and operational support to drive profitability, scalability, and long-term growth while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards. The VP of Finance will partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership team, and department leaders to develop financial strategies, optimize performance, support acquisitions and expansion initiatives, and strengthen financial controls across the organization. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team on all financial matters. Develop and execute financial strategies that support company growth, profitability, and long-term objectives. Provide financial analysis and recommendations regarding new infusion center development, service line expansion, payer contracting strategies, and business investments. Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational growth initiatives. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes. Develop financial models to support growth initiatives, acquisitions, and capital investments. Analyze revenue, profitability, patient volume, referral trends, reimbursement performance, and operating expenses. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive organizational performance. Deliver actionable insights and executive-level reporting to leadership and stakeholders. Revenue Cycle & Reimbursement Oversight Partner with revenue cycle leadership to optimize reimbursement performance, cash collections, and denial management. Monitor infusion reimbursement trends, payer mix, gross-to-net performance, and contract profitability. Support negotiations and financial analysis related to payer contracts and specialty pharmacy agreements. Identify opportunities to improve revenue capture and operational efficiency. Accounting & Financial Operations Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance processes. Lead cash flow management, treasury functions, and working capital optimization. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable healthcare financial regulations. Compliance, Risk & Audit Oversee external audits, tax reporting, and regulatory financial compliance. Partner with compliance and legal teams to mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensure adherence to healthcare industry regulations affecting financial operations. Maintain appropriate financial policies, procedures, and controls. Growth, M&A & Private Equity Support Support mergers, acquisitions, de novo infusion center expansion, and strategic partnerships. Lead financial due diligence, valuation analyses, and post-acquisition integration planning. Prepare board, lender, and investor reporting packages. Serve as the primary financial liaison for private equity sponsors, lenders, and external financial partners. Team Leadership Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Develop succession plans and leadership capabilities within the finance function. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior-level healthcare finance roles. 5+ years leading finance teams in healthcare services, ambulatory infusion, specialty pharmacy, home infusion, healthcare provider organizations, or related settings. Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, accounting, and healthcare reimbursement. Experience presenting financial results to executive leadership, boards, and investors. Demonstrated success building scalable financial processes in high-growth organizations. Preferred MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced financial credential. Experience in ambulatory infusion, specialty pharmacy, home infusion, or alternate-site healthcare services. Experience in private equity-backed healthcare organizations. M&A and integration experience. Knowledge of infusion reimbursement, buy-and-bill models, specialty pharmacy economics, and payer contracting.
