Duties Oversee project budgets by tracking expenses, forecasts, and cost variances using advanced accounting software such as SAP, Xero, Sage, or ERP systems. Conduct detailed cost analysis and cash flow assessments to ensure projects stay within financial parameters. Reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare comprehensive financial reports by interpreting data from various sources including QuickBooks, Quicken, and other financial software tools. Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to develop accurate cost forecasts and budgets aligned with project goals. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations during all financial activities. Perform account reconciliation tasks such as double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and ledger reconciliation to uphold data integrity. Support corporate accounting functions including payroll processing, financial report writing, and internal control procedures. Requirements Proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance with a focus on cost management and financial analysis. Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Quicken or similar ERP systems. Familiarity with SOX compliance standards and financial report interpretation techniques. Ability to perform cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data collection for accurate financial planning. Excellent understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles relevant to project cost control. Experience in account reconciliation processes including accounts payable/receivable management and general ledger reconciliation.
