Fully On-Site Job Summary Agency 8 is partnering with an established equipment dealership to hire a Controller who will oversee all accounting operations across multiple divisions, with a strong focus on fleet and inventory accounting, floor plan financing, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role that works closely with ownership to ensure accuracy, operational efficiency, and sound financial management. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven experience within an equipment, automotive, or dealership environment. This role requires a proactive leader who has operated in multi-entity or multi-division structures, understands floor plan financing across multiple banking relationships, and is comfortable owning true cash flow reporting. Experience working directly with ownership, tracking inventory turns, and leveraging ERP systems to drive financial visibility is highly valued. The right individual will be hands-on, able to manage daily accounting functions, supervise staff, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close Prepare and deliver financial reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including true cash flow visibility Manage fleet and inventory accounting, including tracking, depreciation, inventory turns, and reconciliation Oversee floor plan financing across multiple lenders and ensure compliance Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Supervise AP/AR, billing, payroll, and collections Ensure accurate job costing across service, rentals, and sales Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance Partner with CPA on year-end close and K-1s Oversee equipment invoicing and revenue recognition Manage inventory counts and reconciliations across multiple divisions Analyze financial performance and identify improvement opportunities Support HR/payroll/benefits (PEO environment) Lead and develop accounting staff Qualifications 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably within equipment, automotive, or dealership environments Experience working in organizations with multiple bank relationships and floor plan structures Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation Proven experience with inventory/fleet accounting, inventory turns, and floor plan financing Experience with ERP systems and leveraging them for financial reporting and operational insight Job costing experience highly desired Experience reporting directly to ownership or executive leadership preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills Advanced Excel proficiency Benefits & Perks Room for growth and advancement Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Supplemental insurance (Aflac) Paid Time Off (PTO) Annual performance-based bonuses Job #2190 Company DescriptionWe offer great compensation, great benefits, room for growth, and a strong team culture.
