Job Description
Join our dynamic organization as a Controller, where you will lead the financial stewardship and strategic oversight of our operations. In this vital role, you will manage comprehensive accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will empower us to make informed decisions, optimize financial performance, and uphold the highest standards of integrity within a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence organizational growth through meticulous financial management and innovative accounting practices. Manage the daily transactions of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets. Manage the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, manufacturing orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, and total corporate payroll tax compliance. Manage the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc; funding service management which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management. Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value, including but not limited to: Prepare or direct preparation of business activity reports and/or reports required by regulatory agencies. Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Coordinate the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of an organization as directed by the Senior Controller. Respond accurately and timely to requests by Senior Controller to facilitate any necessary financial needs. Responsible for approving and filling quarterly and yearly tax reports including Federal Excise Tax, Rental Tax, Sales Tax, and Property Tax, Heavy Highway Use Tax and VIT. Responsible for reconciling asset accounts, liability accounts. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions. Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources. Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations. Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, franchisees, and others in a courteous and professional manner Ability to work required days and times necessary to achieve results, anticipated vary from 45 to 60 hours per week depending on business needs, cycles and demands.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have 5 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
- Experience with multi-company business.
- Experience in expanding, fast growing organizations.
- Dealership and manufacturing background a plus, but not required.
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge.
- Spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software), including Excel.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Fishbowl is a plus.
- Contractual negotiation experience.
- Entrepreneurial spirit to think proactively, take ownership and resolve issues in a rapidly expanding business.
- Innovative outlook with ability to see the big picture in order to support the organizational vision.
- Professional demeanor and approach to work with ability to achieve organizational goals.
- Extremely detail oriented with high degree of accuracy in all aspects of reporting and communication.

Pay:
