The Role The Assistant Director of Finance supports the financial operations of the hotel by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance with company and brand standards. This role helps ensure accurate financial management while supporting operational departments in achieving business goals and profitability targets. Financial Management & Reporting Monitor daily revenue, expenses, labor costs, and cash flow. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement. Support preparation of ownership and corporate reporting packages. Accounting Operations Supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general cashier functions. Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts. Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure compliance with hotel policies, financial procedures, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets. Leadership & Team Development Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members. Assist in training staff on financial systems, procedures, and compliance standards. Foster a collaborative and service-oriented work environment. Requirements Experience Required:
3-5 years of finance career progression; preferred experience in hospitality, retail, or related industry. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
