Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description SUMMARY Buff City Soap is looking for talented individuals to join our Finance team to own financial planning and analysis. The Director of FP&A will report directly to CFO and actively partner with Accounting, Merchandising, eCommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations to provide forecasts and analysis that will allow Buff City Soap to manage and optimize its five business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and analyze key performance metrics across all business units Support the CFO in the design of the annual budget process Lead annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting processes across all business units and corporate departments Build Board materials, including periodic financial review and quarterly strategic review Analyze and report on expense variances versus budget; partner with department leaders to deliver against G&A budgets Track and report on corporate-owned location sales and operating costs; facilitate the store-level budgeting process Maintain the Company's 5-year long-range plan and develop models to analyze strategic business opportunities Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Company's data and reporting sources Manage and motivate one direct report (Financial Analyst)
QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or master's degree in accounting/finance preferred, bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required At least 8 years of relevant business experience with demonstrated progression (e.g., consulting, investment banking, or function specific roles in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, accounting)
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent analytical and modeling skills; ability to summarize detailed analyses/data into executive-level presentation Advanced Excel skills required Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial principles Strong verbal and written communication skills; executive presence required
