El Paso, Texas Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial management of our binational operations in the United States and Mexico. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish) with a strong background in U.S. GAAP, while also knowledgeable in Mexican accounting standards and fiscal requirements. This role requires proven leadership in managing accounting teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving accurate and timely financial reporting for operations in both countries. Key Responsibilities Direct and manage the accounting department, including a team of approximately 12 staff members across multiple locations. Oversee preparation and consolidation of financial statements for U.S. and Mexican entities. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Mexican fiscal/accounting regulations. Manage all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting. Oversee tax filings and compliance in both the U.S. and Mexico, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors. Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing management with timely reports, forecasts, and recommendations. Partner with operations and leadership to support strategic decision-making. Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and professional growth. Coordinate annual audits, budgets, and monthly P&L reviews for both U.S. and Mexico operations. Provide financial guidance to executive management on cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and other binational business considerations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred). Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience , with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with Mexican accounting and tax regulations . Proven ability to manage and lead teams of 10+ employees. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively across cultures and borders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
