Job Description
Verlander Enterprises, LLC is looking for a qualified candidate for a Financial Controller position to lead our accounting department into the future. We are a local restaurant company with seventeen restaurants and over 850 employees in the El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico area with our main office located on the west side of El Paso. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets. Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. Evaluate and manage financial risk, insurance coverage, and cash flow. Collaborate with executive leadership to support company growth and profitability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
