Financial Controller Fulltime Fort Worth, Texas
IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING
for a Financial Controller to join our client s team on a full-time basis and work on-site at their office in far North Fort Worth. This Controller will lead and oversee our organization''''s accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role requires a highly analytical individual with a strong background in cost analysis and financial management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities to guide the accounting team (AP/AR) while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks. Team is comprised of 2 individuals (1 AR, 1 AP) Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring the preparation of accurate financial statements. Ensure compliance with internal controls and coordinate annual audit activities. Conduct cost analysis to identify variances and profitability trends, recommending strategies for operational efficiency. Responsible for regular meetings with Operations Manager, General Manager and Mechanic Supervisor to go over budget and any identified variances in spending and make recommendations on how to increase profitability. Proactively review R&M and make suggestions. Develop and implement budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Evaluate and improve accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational effectiveness. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. Responsible for monthly closeouts, journal entries, and keeping up with inventory.
Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is a plus. At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience. 3+ years current experience as a Controller. QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop. Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis and financial modeling. Must have experience with monthly closeouts, journal entries, and keeping up with inventory. Work in Process (WIP) experience preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
