Job Description

Controller Salary:

Key Responsibilities of the
Controller:
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Lead monthly financial reporting and provide analysis to executive leadership. Partner with operations leadership across multiple locations to ensure accurate financial information and resolve accounting issues. Support banking initiatives, including consolidating multiple operating accounts into a centralized banking structure. Drive automation projects, including the transition from paper checks to ACH payments and other process improvements. Lead ERP optimization efforts and support ongoing enhancements to Sage Intacct. Assist with the implementation and optimization of expense management tools and corporate credit card programs. Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a rapidly growing organization. Support acquisitions by integrating newly acquired locations into accounting processes and systems. Mentor and collaborate with the accounting team while serving as a trusted business partner to leadership. Qualifications of the
Controller:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA is a plus. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities. Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience preferred. Experience in a private equity-backed organization is highly preferred. Multi-unit or multi-location accounting experience required. Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or other location-based industry experience is strongly preferred. Experience with banking, treasury, cash management, or centralized banking projects. Experience with Sage Intacct preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. #
