Job Description

Controller - Manufacturing Position Summary We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Controller to oversee the financial operations of our growing manufacturing company. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our accounting functions while partnering with leadership to support sound financial decisions and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, strengthening internal controls, leading a team, and making a measurable impact within the organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, and Cost Accounting. Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner. Review vendor invoices before and after payment to ensure accuracy and compliance. Investigate accounting discrepancies and unusual financial transactions. Produce accurate monthly financial statements and explain significant variances. Develop, implement, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce errors and fraud. Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members. Work closely with company leadership to support sound financial and operational decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred, but not required. Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise (Desktop) and Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
