About the role We are looking for a hands-on Finance Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in a growing manufacturing organization. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and cost management, while supporting leadership on financial planning and operational decisions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both strategically and at a detailed, operational level. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Oversee financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow Lead month-end and year-end close processes Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP Cost Accounting & Operations Oversee cost accounting, including materials, WIP, and finished goods Monitor production costs and perform margin and variance analysis Partner with operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs Cash Flow & Planning Manage cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting Provide financial insights to support business decisions Team Leadership Supervise and support accounting staff (Senior and Staff Accountants) Establish clear processes, expectations, and accountability Review work and ensure consistency across accounting functions Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements Support audit processes and documentation Process Improvement & Systems Improve accounting workflows and reporting processes Support ERP usage and system improvements Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and scalability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, with leadership responsibility Experience in a manufacturing environment required Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory Solid understanding of GAAP Skills Strong leadership and team management ability Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar preferred) The pay range for this role is: 120,000 - 150,000 USD per year(AstraNova)
