Korean GAAP Industry knowledge of financial regulations Accounting and finance experience Video conferences (communication methods) International accounting Full Job Description Financial Controller Position Overview This position involves performing financial control and management for the U.S. subsidiary of a global defense and technology leader.
Employment Structure:
The successful candidate will be directly employed by the parent company (LIG D&A) and assigned to provide dedicated services to its U.S. subsidiary, Ghost Robotics.
Role Purpose:
The candidate will serve as a key financial liaison between the parent company and the subsidiary, ensuring alignment in financial reporting, compliance, and business planning.
Location & Work Schedule Employer:
LIG D&A (assigned to Ghost Robotics)
Location & Format:
Based in or near Philadelphia, PA (candidates who reside in or are able to relocate to the Philadelphia area are preferred). On-site visits to
Ghost Robotics:
2-3 times per week; remaining days remote. Weekly video conference with the Korea headquarters required. Key Responsibilities Financial Closing & Reporting Provide timely financial closing data to the parent company headquarters as requested. Perform quarterly IFRS conversion of financial statements. Support quarterly consolidated closing for the acquisition SPV (LNGR), including the preparation of consolidated financial statements. Performance Analysis Analyze closing results, including fluctuations in assets, liabilities, revenue, COGS, and expenses. Perform variance analysis between actual results and forecasts, identifying and mitigating associated risks. Business Planning Support Support subsidiary business planning, including forecasts for orders, revenue, profit, and cash flow. Manage planning data according to the frequency and cadence jointly determined with the parent company. Internal Control & Compliance Build, improve, and ensure the rigorous operation of the internal accounting control system. Ensure the subsidiary complies with US GAAP, K-IFRS, and relevant Korean and U.S. regulations through close collaboration with headquarters. Document key accounting policies to ensure full alignment with parent company policies under US GAAP standards.
Key Qualifications Citizenship:
U.S. Citizen (required for security clearance).
Experience:
5-15 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or audit, with a solid understanding of US GAAP, K-IFRS, and SOX.
Certification:
AICPA license holder (preferred).
Language:
Bilingual fluency in both Korean and English is mandatory.
Additional Information Job Title:
Financial Controller (final title may be adjusted based on the candidate's specific experience and background).
Compensation:
$150,000 - $180,000 annually (negotiable based on local market standards).
