Make a direct impact in a mission-driven, nonprofit environment focused on education and community experience Opportunity to guide, mentor, and develop a dedicated team aligned with the organization's purpose Substantial employer-paid medical coverage, company-paid life insurance, dental/vision options Three weeks' vacation, ten paid holidays, monthly sick time accrual, 401(k) with 4% match, EAP Executive exposure, direct impact on organizational transformation, future opportunity to influence systems/process automation Key Responsibilities of the Controller Lead and manage all accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy across full-cycle and fund accounting Drive budgeting, forecasting, monthly management reporting, audit prep, and compliance Supervise a team handling AP, AR, revenue recognition, and support staff development Oversee fund tracking (donor intent, endowments, deferred revenue), and continuously enhance financial systems and reporting Manage payroll processes and partner with HR to streamline operations Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility, ideally in nonprofit or fund accounting Advanced user of Excel and demonstrated experience with accounting/ERP systems (preference for Blackbaud Financial Edge) Track record of process improvement, budgeting, and audit readiness in a mission-oriented organization #LI-AB1 #Nonprofit #Accounting #Accountant #Accountingjobs #
