Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to guide financial operations and strengthen accounting leadership for a growing organization in Temple, Texas. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can build strong processes, support business decision-making, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will bring deep accounting and finance expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities:
Direct the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls.
Lead and develop an accounting team with multiple direct reports, setting priorities, coaching performance, and promoting accountability.
Partner with leaders across the organization to align financial practices with operational needs and business goals.
Establish and refine scalable financial processes that support continued growth and improve efficiency.
Review financial results, identify trends, and provide insights that support planning and decision-making.
Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Support document management activities related to financial records, including organizing, reviewing, scanning, and maintaining supporting files.
Contribute to operational and finance-related improvement initiatives, including occasional travel when business needs require on-site collaboration. Requirements
7-15 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance.
Prior experience managing teams and supervising several direct reports.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and work effectively with stakeholders in multiple areas of the business.
Confidence working in a rapidly expanding organization where priorities and processes continue to evolve.
Strong leadership skills, self-direction, and a practical mindset for building effective structure and discipline.
Willingness to travel occasionally as needed for business support.
Experience handling document control or related records-management tasks is beneficial.
