Accounting Controller

JOB TITLE

Controller ENTITY:

Henry Walker Homes JOB J. Fisher Companies is looking for a controller to oversee our residential homebuilder, Henry Walker Homes. The controller will ensure that all accounting and financial duties are performed and completed in a timely manner. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliation, cash disbursements, payroll, financial statements, and tax returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create monthly, quarterly, or yearly financial statements for each entity
• Oversee the accounts payable process
• Oversee the accounts receivable and draw process
• Reconcile accounting records to bank statements
• Use historical data and projections to create/update cash flow models
• Act as a liaison between the partners/entities and bank provider
• Create monthly draws for homes under construction
• Prepare checks, wires, and ACH payments
• Work with the tax CPA to prepare year-end tax filings for every entity
• Any other duties as assigned relating to the finances or accounting records

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years experience in accounting
• 2+ years experience compiling and reviewing financial statement packages.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
• Previous accounting experience in construction or homebuilding

PREFERENCES

• Prior experience with Sage Intacct Required
• Prior experience with MiTek Kova Required
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Relevant certification (e.

g. CMA or CPA)

$120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
