Job Description
Description Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join one our clients on an interim basis. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations, reporting, and cost accounting within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial management and have a proven track record of success in similar roles.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage tax filings and ensure adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain product costing systems to provide accurate cost analysis.
- Provide financial oversight and guidance to support strategic business decisions.
- Participate in month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance to drive improvements in cost and margin analysis.
- Support transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing cost understanding and operational efficiency.
- Implement and monitor standard cost accounting practices within the manufacturing environment.
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Ensure the integrity of financial systems and processes across the organization. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial controllership role.
- Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and standard cost accounting.
- Proven expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with tax laws and regulations, with experience managing compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools relevant to accounting and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
