Job Description

Controller Opportunity | Growing National Manufacturing & Distribution CompanyRobert Half Finance & Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a small, national manufacturing and distribution organization to identify a Controller for a newly created, high-impact role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys working closely with operations and making a direct impact on the business. The Controller will oversee the company's financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and provide strategic insight to support decision-making and growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment and wants to take ownership of the accounting function while partnering across the business.

MResponsibilities:
Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger activitiesEnsure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and customer invoicingReconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies proactivelyOversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statementsManage month-end and year-end close processesUtilize QuickBooks for all core accounting functions and reportingInstrumental in the selection and implementation of a new ERP systemMonitor cash flow, analyze financial data, and identify trends and opportunitiesPartner with operations to improve efficiency and support business initiativesEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirementsSupport audits, tax filings, and payrollAssist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong experience with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative approachFamiliarity with inventory management and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
