Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our company as Business Finance Director supporting our Plant Nutrients business. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of this business, providing leadership and guidance in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities Financial Strategy:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team based on financial analysis and projections. Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to assess potential impact on the business financial performance.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plans. Perform financial forecasting, including revenue, expense, and cash flow projections. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the leadership team.
Risk Management:
Identify and evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor and analyze financial metrics to assess overall business performance. Recommend and implement risk management strategies.
Team Leadership:
Lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide appropriate rewards and recognition.
Knowledge needed:
Financial Expertise Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards and regulations. Experience with financial software and tools for data analysis and reporting. Financial Reporting Proficiency in creating and presenting financial statements, reports, and analysis to stakeholders. Experience with financial modeling to evaluate various scenarios and make strategic recommendations. Business Partnership / Acumen Experience partnering with business or functional leaders to actively identify opportunities and drive business results for optimal outcomes.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Minimum 7 years' varied accounting/finance experience Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team Prior manufacturing experience is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Chemical manufacturing experience a plus. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is highly desirable.
Position Criteria:
Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and advanced MS Excel. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. The base salary for this role is $168,500 to $252,700 annually. We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan. Hired applicants will be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending and health savings account eligibility, employer-provided short term disability benefits, eligibility to purchase long term disability benefits, employer-provided basic life insurance and eligibility to purchase voluntary life coverages. The pay range, incentives and benefits listed above are general guidelines only and not a guarantee of total compensation or benefits. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
