Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across the organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and risk analysis. As a key leader, you will shape financial strategies that support organizational growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize financial performance. Your proactive approach to financial analysis and risk management will empower our organization to achieve its mission with confidence and clarity. Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and fiscal health Oversee comprehensive financial reporting processes, including the preparation of accurate financial statements Manage treasury functions such as cash flow analysis, investment management, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and funding strategies Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements across different sectors, including government agencies and non-profit entities Direct cost control initiatives, budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis to maintain financial stability Supervise general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and account analysis to uphold data integrity Lead risk management efforts by conducting thorough risk analysis, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic planning initiatives that enhance business development opportunities and operational efficiency Oversee internal audit processes related to financial software systems and technical accounting issues such as accrual accounting and revenue management Manage HR duties within two locations, primary administrator for employee benefits, onboarding new hires, ensure HR compliance and yearly audits. Perform bi-weekly payroll for 15+ employees. Requirements Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior financial leadership role with extensive knowledge Strong background in corporate finance, cost accounting, fiscal management, and financial analysis within diverse sectors including non-profit or governmental organizations Demonstrated expertise in regulatory reporting, compliance management, treasury management, and risk analysis Proficiency in financial software systems for bookkeeping (Quickbooks), general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet management, and cash flow analysis Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through complex financial concepts while fostering a culture of continuous improvement Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and interpreting complex data for stakeholders at all levels Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly desirable Strong analytical mindset with strategic planning capabilities to support long-term organizational objectives Join us as we navigate the future of responsible financial stewardship!
