Controller:
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead our accounting operations and support the continued growth of the business. Reporting directly to the President, this role will oversee accounting, HR, and administrative functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency. This individual will serve as a key business partner to leadership, helping drive profitability, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities of Controller:
Lead all accounting and finance functions, including: Accounts Payable & Receivable Payroll Job costing / percentage of completion Sales tax Fixed assets & inventory Balance sheet reconciliations Manage and develop the accounting team, including training and performance oversight Own the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Prepare and present monthly financial statements and analysis Perform analytical reviews of financial results and identify areas for improvement Partner with the President on annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning Oversee HR-related responsibilities and administrative operations Evaluate and improve back-office processes to drive efficiency and scalability Lead the implementation of accounting systems, automation, and process improvements Act as a strategic partner to operations to support growth and profitability initiatives Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with internal controls Support leadership with ad hoc reporting and special projects
Qualifications of Controller:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience CPA preferred Strong leadership and team management experience Experience with job costing and percentage-of-completion accounting Proficiency with accounting systems (Great Plains preferred) Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred) Advanced Excel and overall Microsoft Office skills Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Positive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to wear multiple hats Additional Details for
