Job Description

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers. Chief Executive Officer Position Summary The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations within a healthcare services organization, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and establishing strong internal controls. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability in a complex, highly regulated environment. This position is primarily remote, with periodic in-person meetings and occasional travel. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial close processes Prepare and deliver accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific accounting standards Support the CEO in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership Regulatory Compliance & Controls Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting Oversee audit processes, including external audits and expense reporting Revenue Cycle & Operational Finance Collaborate with billing team to maximize collections Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, cost, and cash flow Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency Leadership & Team Development Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Systems & Process Improvement Oversee financial systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation and integration with clinical and operational systems Partner with operations to enhance data integrity and reporting capabilities Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred) 5-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role Experience in healthcare services (e.g., provider groups, post-acute care, home health, behavioral health, or managed services) strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Deep knowledge of GAAP Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability Physical Requirements Ability to sit comfortably for periods of 60 minutes at a time without injury Ability to lift 25 pounds without injury Ability to use hands/fingers to operate computer equipment Ability to tolerate moderate office noise levels/distractions Ability to clearly see moderately fine print on computer screens and paper with or without eye correction Why Join VTP?
