Job Description
About the Role The Vice President of Finance provides strategic leadership and oversight for the bank's financial management, reporting, and analysis functions. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support enterprise-wide decision-making. As a key member of the leadership team, the VP of Finance ensures the integrity of financial statements, leads budgeting and forecasting processes, and implements financial strategies aligned with the bank's long-term goals. This role also offers high visibility with executive leadership and the Board, with potential for growth into broader enterprise financial leadership. What You'll Do Oversee all accounting, reporting, and financial planning activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Lead the development and management of the annual budget, long-range forecasts, and financial models. Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and profitability. Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Board of Directors, delivering financial results, risk insights, and strategic recommendations. Partner with executive management on capital planning, liquidity management, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with GAAP, banking regulations, and internal control standards. Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and key external stakeholders. Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members, promoting a culture of high performance and accountability. Drive continuous process improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance experience in banking or financial services. Demonstrated experience managing a finance team and partnering with senior executives. In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and GAAP. Strong knowledge of banking financial operations, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards. Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Proven leadership and team management experience in a banking or financial services environment. Strategic mindset with attention to detail and commitment to ethical financial practices.
