Within AWM, the Private Bank delivers competitive borrowing and cash‑management products from Goldman Sachs Bank USA, strategically integrated with each client's broader wealth strategy. Our lenders and specialists provide bespoke solutions secured by a wide range of asset classes—including marketable securities, alternatives, residential and commercial real estate, and unique assets such as aviation, fine art, and private holdings. Your Impact The Lending Associate is a client‑facing lending specialist responsible for driving lending growth and delivering sophisticated credit solutions to Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth (UHNW) clients. The lending associate partners closely with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs), Regional Lending Advisors and internal underwriting teams to originate, structure, and manage tailored lending opportunities that align with the client's overall wealth management objectives.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Work closely with senior lending advisors to assist with relationship management, lending origination, and portfolio management for ultra-high net worth clients Help identify and implement marketing initiatives to drive lending growth opportunities with senior lending advisors and PWM coverage teams Join prospect and client meetings with senior lending advisors and PWAs to raise awareness of Goldman Sachs Private Bank and the solutions available Support senior lending advisors with early-stage loan screening and structuring Partner with our US Underwriting team on submitting credit memos and overall portfolio and risk management Ensure effective and consistent compliance to credit and control procedures Provide excellent client service throughout the life of loan
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR 3-6
years' experience in UHNW lending origination or underwriting in a private bank or commercial banking organization Experience with underwriting commercial real estate, financial assets, art, planes, yachts, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail oriented with strong analytical skills Strong collaboration skills in a team environment Desire to continue the growth in a dynamic business. Completion of a formal credit training program optimal SIE, Series 7 and 63 required (must be obtained within three months of employment) Bachelor's Degree required

Salary Range The expected base salary for this Los Angeles, California, United States-based position is $75000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
