Supervisor - Underwriting Services

Lead and develop a team of Underwriting Support Specialists who are responsible for quoting and processing of new business, renewals, endorsements, and premium audit transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly manage a team of Underwriting Support Specialists (USS) Establish measurable performance goals and hold associates accountable for results Foster and maintain an effective and positive team environment Create, document and maintain standardized operating procedures Handle and resolve staff and technical problems quickly and effectively Identify training opportunities and provide a means for the training Support process improvements by identifying performance and efficiency issues, researching the issues, and providing solid resolutions Maintain strong relationships and communication with Underwriting and other USS teams Complete special projects as assigned Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Leadership ability with a focus on integrity and fairness Superior written and verbal communication skills Ability to be a change-agent Strong organization and prioritization skills Excellent problem-solving skills Proficient in the use of Excel and Word programs

PREFERRED
