Job Description

Description CBL Properties, one of the largest mall REITs in the United States, is in search of a Financial Analyst to join our Financial Operations team at our Corporate Headquarters in Chattanooga, TN. The Financial Analyst role will be an integral member of the team with a future opportunity to move into a designated area of focus. This role will fulfill interim data analysis needs by gathering and compiling information while simultaneously learning our industry and back-office practices. The Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial analysis and modeling to support business practices including Finance, Accounting, Management, Valuation, Budgeting and Forecasting, and Development. The qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate customer service, accuracy, timeliness, and an opportunity to continually learn. Foundational to these attributes, a candidate will inherently be detail-oriented, analytical, and objective.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or in a closely related field (Economics, Business Administration). 2 - 5 years experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, FP&A, accounting or related field. Prior experience with month-end close support, management reporting and/or budgeting cycles. Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, data modeling). Familiarity with ERP and financial systems such as Yardi, Argus Enterprise, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday. Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI) preferred. Understanding of GAAP, financial statements, corporate finance principles, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Capable of assessing financial performance, trends and risks.

High attention to detail with strong accuracy and data integrity standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced enviornment. Collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, accounting and executive leadership.
