Job Description
General Description Under the administrative direction of the Deputy Commissioner of Finance for the Bureau for Social Services (BSS), this position is responsible for the daily operations of the Division of Accounting and Reporting by utilizing expert level knowledge regarding financial management, budgeting, and compliance. Responsibilities include the development, submission, and monitoring of the BSS annual budgets which fund various programs on a statewide basis. Directs the recording, tracking, and compilation of financial information to prepare highly complex financial reports on the results of operation for statewide delivery of services. Directs the preparation of reports and analysis of the BSS' financial position with leadership and key decision makers. Interprets federal and state laws, rules and/or regulations to report and track funding to determine conformity and if funding is within scope and goals of BSS. Provides and directs the daily work of the BSS Accounting and Reporting staff to meet the duties of the position. Preference may be given to candidates with demonstrated experience and knowledge in state government finance systems. #
INDLP Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:
Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in professional accounting, auditing, and/or budgeting work.Job Type:
