Looking for a position where you can use your federal financial management and federal accounting experience with audit, audit remediation, and other relevant financial and accounting experience? Do you have 5 years' experience with federal financial management?
ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael's is hiring a Journeyman Financial Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Journeyman Financial Specialist, you must have a firm understanding of DoD accounting and budget execution. This position typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. LOCATION
MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL (on-site)
WHO YOU ARE
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • 5 years' experience in DoD Financial Budgets and/or Execution.
  • 3 years' experience with automated tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform as a coordinating focal point for all accounting actions and issues between
SOF AT&L
Program offices, SOF
AT&L-K, HQ
USSOCOM, Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and the 6th Comptroller Squadron.
  • Create Purchase Requests/Funding Documents (MIPR's, Form 9's) in the DEAMS and route/follow up on certification.
  • Draft FDRs/AF Form 1269 target loads in DEAMS and GAFS BQ.
  • Reconcile commitments, obligations, and expenditures in Financial Execution Module (FEM) using various accounting system reports.
  • Complete Journal Vouchers/1081's to correct accounting errors.
  • Perform all accounting actions associated with conducting a formal DARQ review for all active and expired year accounts is completed IAW DOD FMR and DFAS guidance.
Review/forward DARQ lines in Advana for each cycle. #
