Overview Are you passionate about horticulture, plant care, and creating beautiful outdoor spaces? We are hiring a Fine Gardener Crew Leader to lead a team maintaining high-end residential and commercial landscape properties throughout the season. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, mentoring crews, and delivering exceptional garden care and customer service. What You'll Do Lead and supervise landscape crew members on daily fine gardening and horticultural projects Maintain high-end gardens, planting beds, containers, and landscape features Perform pruning, shaping, deadheading, mulching, seasonal color maintenance, and detailed garden care Monitor plant health and identify pest, drainage, irrigation, or disease concerns Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams Train and mentor crew members on proper horticultural practices and quality standards Operate landscaping equipment, tools, trucks, and trailers safely Complete daily documentation including time entry, inspections, and material tracking Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months What We're Looking For 2+ years of landscaping, horticulture, fine gardening, or estate maintenance experience Strong experience with fine gardening, horticultural practices, plant identification, pruning, and detailed garden maintenance Knowledge of perennials, annuals, shrubs, seasonal color, and plant health care Previous crew lead or leadership experience preferred Strong plant knowledge and understanding of pruning and garden maintenance Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record Bilingual Spanish is a plus Chemical applicator license is helpful but not required Schedule & Compensation Landscape Season (March-December): 55-60 hours/week with overtime opportunities Snow Season (January-March): 24-32 hours/week with snow response work as needed Stable year-round opportunity with a growing team Competitive pay based on experience Why Join Us?
