Job Description

Category Schools•OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near Elgin, IL, supporting students across PreK-12th grade this summer. This role is designed for skilled Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who are passionate about helping students achieve developmental milestones and independence in school and home settings.
Key Details:
Orientation scheduled for Friday, June 5 Student attendance period: Monday, June 8•Friday, June 26 No school on Friday, June 19 Student hours: 9:00 a.m.•12:00 p.m.
Staff hours:
8:45 a.m.•12:15 p.m.
What We're Looking For:
Current licensure as an OT or COTA, with experience in schools or healthcare Proficiency in promoting fine and gross motor skill development Familiarity with both school-based and home health OT practices Strong communication and adaptability to work with PreK through high school-aged students Ability to design and implement individualized therapeutic interventions
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to diverse student needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student goals Assess, track, and report on student progress and adjust interventions as needed Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and productive environment for learning and therapy Maintain clear and accurate documentation in compliance with school and therapy standards This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to create lasting impact, apply your clinical expertise, and enjoy consistent daytime hours in a school setting.
